Local Highgate resident Elaine Bernstein is showing her Autumn/Winter collection of vintage inspired dresses.
“Women often want a dress which is elegant, smart, sexy and flattering all at the same time. They tell me they are impossible to find in the shops” says Elaine. You’ll find them in her pop-up shop. She’s made them out of great fabrics from the best selling machine washable iron-free polyester crepe to a wool crepe to this season’s on-trend cotton corduroy.

We are now taking bookings for the Autumn Term for Portraiture and Figure Drawing!
This class is aimed at artists of all levels, including beginners and advanced students, who wish to expand their skills. Taught by art tutor, Zoe Hirson, this course looks at anatomy and spends some time focusing on drawing a single pose. Materials will be provided. The cost for the entire term is £225.
Portraiture and Figure Drawing takes place every Tuesday. The Autumn Term runs Tuesday 11 September to Tuesday 11 December. Please note there is no class on 23 October for Half Term.

We are now taking bookings for the Autumn Term for Painting with Watercolour and Acrylic.
This class is the perfect opportunity to learn the basics of both paint mediums; how to mix, blend and layer watercolour and how to apply acrylic. Explore how to make dynamic compositions that produce interesting paintings using still Life, photographs and sketches as inspiration. The cost for the entire term is £225.
Our art tutor, Sharon Finmark, lives in North London & studied at Central St. Martins School of Art. She has had several books published on painting & drawing – one on learning to draw was published in May 2016.

Weekly drop-in Hatha yoga classes suitable for all levels, beginners welcome. Come and practice some lovely postures in a safe environment that will leave you feeling uplifted and refreshed. I am certified by the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) and classes include a mixture of pranayama, postures and relaxation with focus on correct alignment. The steady flow of postures will improve your strength and flexibility. Mats, blocks and bricks provided or you are welcome to bring your own.

Jazz in the House returns for a new season of informal evening concerts this Autumn, with big names playing alongside Lauderdale favourites. Expect modern, world-class jazz in a beautiful historic setting.
Portrait of Cannonball featuring Tony Kofi perform live on Thursday 6 December, bringing this year’s Jazz in the House season to an end. The bar will be open from 8pm and the music begins at 8.30pm.

Get into the Christmas spirit with an evening of sacred music and popular Christmas songs, and raise the roof with traditional carols for all to sing. Voxcetera chamber choir present their very popular annual Christmas concert, this year in the stunning venue of St Joseph’s Church on Highgate Hill.

There’ll be fun versions of songs such as The 12 Days of Christmas and Winter Wonderland, and spine-tingling sacred music by composers including Handel, Tavener, Karl Jenkins, John Rutter and Eric Whitacre. Voxcetera is a chamber choir performing regularly in North and central London. Under the direction of conductor Jane Hopkins we sing sacred and secular music spanning the 13th Century to the present day. Recent activity includes concerts at St Martin-in-the-fields, East Finchley Arts Festival, a tour to southern Germany and recording work for Unicef’s Generations campaign.
