Mama’s Kitchen is a place for experimentation and curious concoctions, serving up a menu of pioneering performance.
The brainchild of Shunt artist Layla Rosa and curated especially for Postcards, expect circus artists, theatre makers, musicians, visual artists and a whole heap of other exciting performances that we’re not entirely sure about just yet.
But if previous outings at The Shunt Lounge are anything to go by, Mama’s Kitchen will be unexpected and hugely memorable.

PETER AND THE WOLF Sat 11 Feb 11.30am | £8.50/£6.50 This exciting puppet show is set to Prokofiev’s famous score, and is a brilliant way to introduce children to orchestral music. It’s the story of a mischievous boy who goes off into the meadows to play with animals, in spite of his grandfather warning him about a wolf ! We will pass Lubetkin’s iconic High Point flats, learn about Highgate’s early history, walk through Waterlow Park and learn of it conception, pass Highgate Cemetery where Karl Marx is buried and explore Abrahmam Davis’s Holly Lodge Estate and Walter Segal’s 1950s St Anne’s Close.
Starts Opposite the Woodman Pub, Archway Road, finishes at Parliament Hill Fields at the bottom of Swain’s Lane. From here one has the choice to discover Highgate, see the views from Parliament Hill or further explore Highgate East or West Cemetery (additional fees)
