Yvonne Saville has been painting for over 25 years and her work, now mainly in acrylics, has been exhibited widely in North London. She is inspired by the natural world, its beauty, its randomness, its continual change and transformation.

“I want to celebrate what I know, that essence of nature. My pictures are not about what I see, but what I feel. My tools are paint, fingers, brushes, sand for texture, oil for movement, wood for incising – but mainly the heart.”

Yvonne Saville’s exhibition The Poetry of Earth is Never Dead runs in Lauderdale House’s Upper Gallery 13 June – 9 July. Entry free of charge.
