Red Shed is the third part in a trilogy that started with the multi award winning shows Bravo Figaro and Cuckooed.
Mark returns to the place where he first started to perform in public, a red wooden shed in Wakefield, the Labour Club, to celebrate the club’s 50th birthday.
Interviewing old friends and comrades Mark pieces together the club’s history and works with the club to campaign with some of the poorest workers in the country for their rights.
It is the story of the battle for hope and the survival of a community in a small wooden shed.
It is part theatre, part stand up, part journalism, part activism and returns to Mark’s obsessions of community and struggle.
The show will involve the audience (in a nice way) to help recreate the shed and its inhabitants.

One Moment In Time Theatre present their own version of the classic folk tale The Enormous Turnip – but with a magical twist! We follow the tale of a young girl called Rosie who dreams of carving a special turnip lantern for the Festival of Light. To plant and harvest the turnip, Rosie will need plenty of help from the audience, her animal friends and one small but very important gnome! Little does Rosie know how absolutely enormous her turnip will grow!

On 2 – 4 November, the Highgate Literary and Scientific Institution & the Highgate Gallery will throw open its doors to welcome 30 highly skilled designer/makers, exhibiting and selling their unique creations. As ever Handmade In Highgate is passionate about those who are passionate about making and creating their own unique work.
The Institute and gallery offer the perfect location and the perfect opportunity for visitors to meet, chat with and buy from the some of the most talented and prolific artist/designer/makers working in the UK today.

Mrs H and the Singalong Band are a collective of professional musicians who create and perform live music events with a strong emphasis on audience participation, theatrical engagement and communal singing. This unique band combine elements of Folk, Soul, Afro, Dub, comedy and theatre. Their interactive sessions have sold out venues across London as well as appeared at festivals across the country.
