Combining high-level circus skills with pathos, humour and beauty, Jess Love creates a vision that is at once delicately touching, visually enchanting and heart-warmingly playful. Dark clowning, dirty acrobatics and surreal sideshow feats go hand-in-hand with slapstick, roller-skating, hula hoops, skipping and hopscotch acrobatics – phew! You can attend the shows without paying for a ticket beforehand, but tickets can be reserved in advance (max 4 per booking). When the show finishes, you will have the opportunity to make a donation – either by cash on the door or card at the Box Office.

1991. England. Jack reigns from the armchair of his rest home, a local legend. Decorated veteran of Tobruk. Former river warden, boxer, horse whisperer, boat builder, charmer, prolific father and husband to a very unhappy wife. Dementia is eroding his mind. As the Gulf War rages, the past drags him back to the scorched sands. Inspired by the writer’s grandfather.

Children’s Theatre – The Enormous Turnip @ Lauderdale House

One Moment In Time Theatre present their own version of the classic folk tale The Enormous Turnip – but with a magical twist! We follow the tale of a young girl called Rosie who dreams of carving a special turnip lantern for the Festival of Light. To plant and harvest the turnip, Rosie will need plenty of help from the audience, her animal friends and one small but very important gnome! Little does Rosie know how absolutely enormous her turnip will grow!
