Back by popular demand, Jacksons Lane favourites Tall Stories (creators of theGruffalo and last year’s Emily Brown and the Thing) present The Snail and the Whale for Christmas 2015. This much-loved, sell out production is an exciting collaboration with Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
A tiny snail longs to see the world, so she hitches a lift on the tail of a humpback whale. Together they go on an amazing journey, experiencing icebergs and volcanoes, sharks and penguins… But when disaster strikes and the whale gets beached, how will the snail save him?

Performers from across the globe come together to celebrate Ziggy, the Thin White Duke, and maybe even Jareth the Goblin King as they choose their favourite Bowie look and song for a night of spaceman-inspired circus that’s out of this world.

We have introduced a Pay What You Decide policy for Postcards Festival 2016shows.
You can attend the shows without paying for a ticket beforehand, but tickets can be reserved in advance (max 4 per booking). When the show finishes, you will have the opportunity to make a donation – either by cash on the door or card at the Box Office.
This month’s Old Time Music Hall with the Lissenden Players on May 16th has, in the cast, Sue Yager, Connie Stanton, Martin Nail, Alec Dunnachie and Racker Donnelly, with Mike Francis in the Chair and Derek Marcus at the piano.
