Friends of Waterlow Park are organising a coach trip on Saturday 30 May to this famous garden and plant nursery near Colchester in Essex. Beth Chatto, now in her 90s, is one of the country’s foremost plantswomen. Highlights are the gravel garden, the fabulous display of herbaceous plants and shrubs, and water and woodland gardens. Come along to get ideas for your garden or just to enjoy seeing great garden design. Coach will depart Highgate at 9.00 and return by 17.30.

On this very special evening, come and celebrate with a performance of Gandini Juggling’s meta followed by a champagne reception with canapés, a chance to meet the artists and brilliant live music and entertainment at the post-show birthday party.

For more than 30 years St Joseph’s has heralded Christmas with the Living Crib and we want to make this year’s the biggest ever. Mary, Joseph and Bayleaf the Donkey will be waiting in Pond Square N6 6BA on Sunday Dec 11 to start our procession at 3 pm. Are you a Shepherd or an Angel, a Wiseman or Wisewoman?
