Need advice about what computer, laptop or tablet to buy?
Still grappling with how to use the one you have already?
Or just fancy coming along and having a play?
COFFEE & COMPUTERS IS FOR YOU
We hold informal one-to-one computer familiarisation sessions over a cup of coffee on the last Friday of the month.
No need to bring anything, just yourself.
“The computer has given me a new life” says 69 year old Coffee & Computers visitor. And the Government has just announced a major new initiative to get everyone over the age of 55 on to the Internet.
So if you are over 55 (or thereabouts) and the very mention of computers bring you out in a cold sweat, call Stuart on 020 8347 2411 or email kirstenhs2012@gmail.com (quoting Coffee & Computers) and give us an idea of what you want to know more about.
Or just come along for the coffee and have a dabble.
You’ll soon wonder how you ever lived without being wired!
We look forward to seeing you
Open Garden in Aid of the Harington Scheme
Entrance fee £3
Under 12’s free
No dogs
Tea and homemade cakes will be available
This award winning garden (voted ‘Best Back Garden’ by the London Gardens Society in 2015) is home to the ‘Corokia’ National Collection, and to many other unusual Australasian and Mediterranean plants complemented in recent years by ‘Restios’ from South Africa and interesting exotics. The emphasis of the garden is on texture, shapes and contrasting foliage colour. Well worth a visit this Sunday. Tea and homemade cakes will be on by the Friends of Harington.
There will be no Highgate Coffee & Computers session on 16 December.
Highgate School has amazing computer facilities, and the friendly students will be there to help sort out your problems. There will also be coffee/tea and cake.
Please note the volunteers at these sessions are pupils from the school, ranging in age from 11 to 18 years old. The School has a duty of care to these young people and would be very grateful if you could be mindful of maintaining appropriate interaction with them. Please consider issues such as your language, your expectations regarding the type of matter you raise with the pupils, and the sort of information that the pupils may see on your documents or particular webpages.
If you have any queries then please don’t hesitate to raise them with the members of staff at the session.
If you plan to come, it would be helpful to know, though it is not obligatory.
We look forward to seeing you this Friday!
