A selection of verses on the above topics, devised as an adult show, but tolerable to some 10 year olds. Verses concerning Keats’s relationships with vegetables and surgery. A long look at love, both on, and off the buses and musings on the old chestnut of Orpheus’s disruptive turn around. Deep and daft. Come and Sing.

Combining text with choreography, video and specially commissioned music, Declining Solo is the sequel to Two Destination Language’s award-winning Near Gone. A woman returns to visit her family home and misses the one thing she values most: the father she remembers.

“It’s in a place where there’s singing and dancing and eating and drinking and being merry, and of friendships and familial links, as the total core of communities. It’s in a place where we still have mountains unadorned. And where the summer smells of sun, and the winter smells of burning coal.”

Travel on a rich and exciting musical journey with these two fine soloists.
Innovative Latin American harpist, composer and poet, Ricardo Curbelo, combines traditional music from a variety of Latin American countries, together with his own, spellbinding compositions. Vibrant, energetic and jazzy pieces contrast with more classical, enchanting melodies and tender vocals. He is delighted to share this concert with wonderful classical guitarist, Fiona Harrison, who will also present a fascinating and varied programme of music, crossing cultures and centuries from Renaissance England through to contemporary Japan.
