Be warmer at home! @ Highgate Society
Feb 8 @ 2:15 pm – 4:15 pm

Be warmer at home!

Brrrr – the house is cold and draughty and heating costs are going up.

  • What can you do NOW to be more comfortable?
  • Who do you get to do it?
  • Is it expensive?
  • And might there be some financial support?

Our expert speakers have plenty of answers – and there will be time          to chat with them over a cup of tea.

2.00 pm – doors open
2.15 pm – Sarah Harrison, a home energy consultant, will talk about ‘Where your heat is going, and easy ways to stop it!’
2.35 pm – brief introductions from our other guests:
Tom Ruxton of the HEET Project (a not-for-profit organization with a team offering us very low-cost draughtproofing and other
measures to keep the house warm, plus whether switching to other suppliers can help cut costs)
John Sleeman, local heating engineer specializing in energy saving John Rudge, local window restoration/draughtproofing specialist
Julie Oram of Camden sustainability team: energy-saving and how Camden can help
2.50 pm – the chance to chat over tea with our expert guests about YOUR concerns, what to do next, and whether they may be able to help
4.15 pm – close

A new event from the Highgate Society’s “21st Century Homes: character – comfort – low carbon” initiative.
