GrammaticArts® English and Acting Foundation Course (ESL) @ Jacksons Lane Theatre
Sep 6 @ 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
This course is an opportunity to improve your English through Acting, leading to a performance in week 6. The course combines English, Acting, Public Speaking and Singing.
The language component includes grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, word linking and skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening). We will also look at scripts to practise pronunciation and word stress, and discuss English culture and idioms.
The acting component comprises of movement and vocal exercises to develop the range and variety of your voice, as well as singing. You will also practise techniques to improve your vocal delivery, engagement with an audience and stage presence.  The course includes improvisation and role-play to develop skills in listening, concentration, spontaneity and expression in English.
There will be additional one to one tutorials including language level assessment and careers guidance, with advice on how to take your first steps as an actor or how to progress professionally.
This course will not only develop your communication, confidence and fluency in English, but will give you an opportunity to have fun and meet new friends in a relaxed environment.
