She graduated in 1992 with a BA (hons) in Art and Related Arts then gained a PGCE in Art and Design, during this time she was selected to feature in a BBC documentary showing the relationship between student and mentor. She has extensive teaching experience in Art, Technology, Drama and Special Educational Needs at Primary and Secondary schools and Pupil Referral Units.
After leaving full time teaching she set up Sally Kendall Mosaics in 2000. She has since combined freelancing as an artist with part time teaching. Her lively and enthusiastic personality, excellent communication and organisational skills have enabled her to manage numerous very successful creative projects in schools and communities. This has led her to receive an outstanding report from Ofsted and an award for her extensive collaboration with South Camden Community School.
Her flexibility has allowed her to work with people of all ages and cultures and by creating workshops to cater for a wide range of abilities, differentiating tasks that actively motivate the participants, ensures that they achieve their full potential. The series opens with a song recital featuring two Samling Artists performing Beethoven’s cycle An die ferne Geliebte, as well as songs by Schubert and Finzi, and texts by Shakespeare. Nick Pritchard has won the London Bach Society Singer’s Prize, and has recently performed for Opera Holland Park and Opera North. Ian Tindale is the recipient of the Accompanist’s Prize at the Kathleen Ferrier Awards, the Gerald Moore Award, and the Royal Overseas League Music Competition Accompanists’ Prize.

A solo piano recital of Schumann and Chopin, including Schumann’s Fantasiestücke and Chopin’s Ballade No. 4 in F minor. Kausikan Rajeshkumar won the International Franz Liszt Competition for Young Pianists in 2009, and has since won numerous other competitions including the Parnassos International Piano Competition. He has performed in prestigious venues including the Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Royal Festival Hall, and has been broadcast on BBC television and radio.

Dynamic young clarinettist Joseph Shiner will perform the London premiere of Freya Waley-Cohen’s Nocturne, alongside works by Weber, Lutoslawski and others. A recipient of numerous solo prizes, Joseph has also performed at venues including St John’s Smith Square and the Wigmore Hall. He is a member of the Magnard Ensemble and has collaborated with the Endellion and Alauda Quartets.

2018 marks the centenary of the birth of composer, conductor, author, music lecturer and pianist Leonard Bernstein, whose most famous scores include West Side Story, On the Town, Candide and On the Waterfront.
Commissioned from Bernstein by the Dean of Chichester Cathedral for the 1965 Southern Cathedrals Festival, the Chichester Psalms received its UK premiere on 31st July 1965 and has gone on to become a highly popular staple of choral societies to this day. Consisting of three short movements, the Chichester Psalms is sung in Hebrew.
Our programme of 20th- and 21st-century compositions is completed with choral works by Janacek, Morten Lauridsen and Vaughan Williams.
