BUST is based in London, and focuses on a group of thirty-somethings who are growing up. Faced with real life challenges and topics (e.g. breast cancer, miscarriage, accidents, gay partnership…) BUST explores the measures people take to fulfill their sense of purpose in the world. After Naomi Lowde’s well-received musical debut, “Redundancy the Musical” (www.redundancythemusical.com) at the Hen and Chickens Theatre in February last year (www.offwestend.com/index.php/plays/view/7201), she worked on several new pieces and productions in Hong Kong. Now Lowde has returned to London to debut BUST.

Meet Drew Colby – a man whose shadow can do almost anything – make enchanting shadow animals and fabulous shadow lands and even funny shadow people, all with just two hands. Be amazed as shadow crabs creep from the sea, a shadow monkey does a hula-hoop dance and a tiny shadow man goes riding on a great, big shadow elephant.

Travel on a rich and exciting musical journey with these two fine soloists.
Innovative Latin American harpist, composer and poet, Ricardo Curbelo, combines traditional music from a variety of Latin American countries, together with his own, spellbinding compositions. Vibrant, energetic and jazzy pieces contrast with more classical, enchanting melodies and tender vocals. He is delighted to share this concert with wonderful classical guitarist, Fiona Harrison, who will also present a fascinating and varied programme of music, crossing cultures and centuries from Renaissance England through to contemporary Japan.
