Having the choice between 2 models – one maintaining longer poses (up to 1 hr) and another keeping to shorter poses (4 to 15 mins) – makes this class quite special. Sharon Finmark, our tutor, is there to offer support and expertise responding to the individual needs of the class. Bring materials; paper on sale. This is a drop in class – there is no advance booking.

CONSTRUCTS is the inaugural exhibition at LUX’s new home in Waterlow Park, in Highgate. It marks LUX’s return to Camden, where its predecessor organisation, the London Film-Makers’ Co-operative, was based for more than three decades.
Curated by Matt Carter, the exhibition features work by three emerging London-based artists who graduated this year: Katie Hare (MFA Goldsmiths), Callum Hill (MA RCA), and Ellie Power (BA Wimbledon). Their work spans across HD video, CGI, gaming networks, installation, animation, found footage and 16mm film, with each artist’s diverse practice engaging with and utilising moving image in its many forms today. The works presented in this exhibition interrogate the constructs of the mediums themselves, the latent power they might hold, and examine their relationships to individual and collective cultural constructs.
CONSTRUCTS continues the partnership initiated in 2014 between Art Licks Weekend and LUX for the Moving Image programme of the festival.

We work where governmental and other non-governmental bodies can (or will) not, filling the gaps and providing emergency aid and vital services to those affected by the global refugee crisis. We act fast to get aid and services directly and immediately to the people who need it most by identifying the most effective grassroots groups, local people, individual volunteers and refugees themselves active in the crisis and providing them with funding and support, enabling them to focus their time and energy on the vital work they do every day. Help Refugees are also operational where needed across Europe providing our experienced teams to maintain quality services and uphold dignity for refugees.”

“For many years I have admired Idit as both a singer and a teacher of singing: she brings to all her musicmaking a lively professionalism and integrity, coupled with the gift of communication which inspires others to aspire to the same high standards. I have witnessed her in action as a teacher and have seen how quickly she can achieve positive results with committed students by pinpointing the specific areas of development relevant to each individual singer – the singers themselves are frequently surprised at the speed of their progress under Idit’s tuition. I enthusiastically recommend Idit as an exceptional teacher who commands international respect.”
