We’re looking for people to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for Highgate Cemetery with our visitors.
Our new course runs over four Saturday mornings from 31st October 10.30am until about 1pm.
The course covers the founding and development of the Cemetery as well as some of the most famous people buried here. You’ll also learn tour guiding skills and cash handling so that you can contribute to a great visitor experience.

Join the Highgate Society Poetry Group on April Fools Day
Open Mic, 2 poems each plus a third if you have completed the Groups Challenge which this month is based on a Frank O’Hara Walk which basically translates as go for a walk and write a poem about it.
Tea, coffee, biscuits, occasionally cake and wine thrown in
Open mic and chat and that
Poets read 2 poems each unless they have earned a third by responding to the Highgate Challenge which this month is to write about ‘Water’.

The Tootsie Rollers, London’s original retro girlband, fuse old-school classics with contemporary hits.
The Tootsies have taken their unique sound all over the world and played everywhere from royal palaces to music festivals. They count Colin Firth, Richard Branson and HRH Prince Charles amongst their celebrity followers.
Their charity single ‘Walk the Walk’, in aid of breast cancer awareness, shot to number one in the jazz charts, marking their proudest moment to date.
