Awesome Photography Workshops @ The Lord Palmerston

If you love photography, but you’ve lost your photo mojo and you want to get a turbo                              injection of creativity then this workshop is for you! The workshop focuses on a laidback approach to the technical bits, aims to empower you with the skills and confidence to have fun and be creative with your camera – it’s all about the adventures in life.

// The workshop is run by photographer Lucy Williams, who has been running photography workshops for ten years, both in the UK and overseas and for schools, organisations and charities and at The V&A.

The venue is The Lord Palmerston, Dartmouth Park Hill, Tufnell Park, NW5 1HU. From 11am till 4pm, lunch isn’t included but there is delicious food just down the stairs within the pub (a great opportunity to keep chatting whilst we eat). £90 p/p.

I will be running some new, fun and exciting Mosaic Classes from my studio in Muswell Hill from this week. Suitable for beginners or those with some experience. You can sign up for a weekend, a day, come for a few hours or alternatively have private lessons. Please email me at sally@sallykendallmosaics if you or anyone you know is interested. The classes will run from 11am-5pm and prices include use of equipment and materials (vitreous glass tiles, A5, A4 and 30 x 30 cm boards, or bring something of your own to work on).

Rucksack Music @ Jacksons Lane

‘Rucksack Music’ at Jacksons Lane, Highgate. Drop-in music classes for babies and toddlers (0-4 years) and their grown-ups/parents/carers. Wednesdays 10.15-11.15am £4.50 (3.50 for siblings.) No need to book, just come along and join in the fun. Lots of singing, stomping, clapping, wriggling and just having a good time. The class will be led by singer/guitarist and Jazz musician Faye Patton.

About Rucksack Music: We have been running affordable drop in music classes for babies and toddlers (0-4) and their grown ups for over 15 years. We run classes in North and South London. The company has been filmed by the BBC and ‘London Today’ and we use a unique, tried and tested ‘rucksack’ formula. Relaxed, guided music sessions with nursery rhymes, rounds, tongue twisters and live guitar accompaniment, with small percussion instruments to experience and enjoy. Our sessions include a break for biscuits and a chance to chat and connect. Our experienced and diverse tutor line-up includes professionals from the world of theatre, Kodaly, jazz and sound healing. We are also a popular choice for children’s events and private parties.

A new event from the Highgate Society’s “21st Century Homes: character – comfort – low carbon” initiative.

Spend an intensive 2 days concentrating on figure work in the light and airy Long Gallery. Give yourself the time to focus on technique, observation skills and your understanding of anatomy,.
