‘Upstairs, downstairs and in my lady’s chamber’ – 24 hours of mayhem in the Almaviva household
Directed by Bruno Ravella
Music Director: Oliver-John Ruthven
supported by Fenella Lee
Darren and Alan were introduced while working on the 2003 National Tour of the Gershwin musical, Crazy for You. Their passion for performing has united the two performers, and produced an energetic show paying tribute to many of their Hollywood heroes, rekindling their love and respect for the Song and Dance Man. The duo will be singing an array of numbers from shows such as Singin’ in the Rain and Top Hat
Fenella has been singing professionally for 25 years. She was a founder member of the close- harmony group Simply Vocal, and toured the UK with cabaret act The Checkmates. She has also been the principal vocalist for Brilliant Productions and has appeared in Company (Amy), Into the Woods (the Witch), Cabaret (Sally Bowles), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Gypsy (Rose) and has just finished playing Phyllis in Follies.

A cathartic active meditation aka ‘the mother of all emotional cleansers’
Every Thursday the Friends of Waterlow Park (FOWP) in Highgate organise a volunteer session to restore and maintain places in the park that fall outside of the Camden maintenance contract. Amongst them are Sensory Border, the Lauderdale Terraces, the floral sundial, and the rose border. Everyone is welcome to take part. You don’t need gardening experience, tools or even gloves as these are all provided. We meet every Thursday at 10am at the Lauderdale Cafe and finish at about 1pm. It’s a great way of keeping fit and getting some fresh air and exercise while enjoying being around other people. We will finish for the year on the 20th December and reconvene in March. For further details go to the FOWP website: www.waterlowpark.org.uk or contact Patricia Walby, patriciawalby@gmail.com, Tel: 07710 312105.

With Annie Whitehead (tmb), Dorian Ford (pno), Neville Malcom (bs), & Winston Clifford (dms)
Carol Grimes is a towering presence in the UK music scene; from busking in the streets as a teenager to touring internationally with contemporary classical group The Shout and her two solo rock albums in Memphis, it is safe to say Carol is a truly genre-busting artist. Having turned to jazz and blues, her music embraces drama and love. Her band lays down the subtlest of grooves, and also includes Annie Whitehead, another genre busting musician and one of the most thrilling brass players around.
