Jazz: Elaine Delmar with Brian Dee (pno), Simon Thorpe (d.bs.) & Bobby Worth (dms) @ Lauderdale House
Jun 5 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

This promises to be a fantastic finish to our Spring season with a performance from a major vocal artist and in Dee and Worth  two of our finest musicians in the mainstream tradition as well as Thorpe ,a much younger player but a complete master of the jazz bass ‘walk’. Critics have praised Elaine Delmar for years and this quote from Dave Gelly of The Observer tells all you need to know about her work ‘Among the multitude of good jazz singers in Britain today there is not one who can surpass her. Few understand the repertoire as well or express it with such dynamic simplicity. When she sings a song…it emerges, gently swinging, imbued with the spirit of jazz, each performance built on sure footed musicianship.’
