About Rucksack Music: We have been running affordable drop in music classes for babies and toddlers (0-4) and their grown ups for over 15 years. We run classes in North and South London. The company has been filmed by the BBC and ‘London Today’ and we use a unique, tried and tested ‘rucksack’ formula. Relaxed, guided music sessions with nursery rhymes, rounds, tongue twisters and live guitar accompaniment, with small percussion instruments to experience and enjoy. Our sessions include a break for biscuits and a chance to chat and connect. Our experienced and diverse tutor line-up includes professionals from the world of theatre, Kodaly, jazz and sound healing. We are also a popular choice for children’s events and private parties.

Term begins on 15th Jan, running every wed for 13 weeks. Please note there is a half term break on Wed Feb 19th as Jacksons Lane closes that week for other events. For news and info find us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Rucksackers and  Facebook.

Jazz Concert: Liane Carroll with Roger Carey @ Lauderdale House
May 8 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Singer, pianist and composer, Liane Carroll is a major presence on the British music scene. She has worked with countless jazz musicians and with the likes of Sir Paul McCartney and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.  Although she played to thousands at the Rochester Festival in up State New York, as well as big concerts in Copehagen last year, (proof that the wider world is at last catching up with her prodigious talent), we are fortunate that she still loves to play in small venues like Lauderdale House. Her ability to make you laugh, or bring tears to your eyes is one of the major pleasures in popular music.
