Yoga in Highgate

A weekly candlelit class – you will need to book in with me (either via email or phone) on a weekly basis as spaces are limited.  Mats provided, free parking.    If you have never been to the Holly Lodge Community Centre before, let me know and I’ll email you precise directions and a photo as some people have difficulty finding it.

I teach Hatha yoga (with Yin, Scarivelli and Pilates influences) – a gentle style that still delivers strength and flexibility in a safe manner and I incorporate pranayama (breathing exercises) into all my classes.  Classes are light-hearted, fun and enjoyable.

I tailor classes towards the needs  of our modern society.   For instance for computer users, to try and neutralise some of the negative effects of office work such as releasing hunched neck/shoulders, stretching the spine, releasing the hips and hamstrings after long periods of sitting. Hopefully, after each class, you will feel relaxed, re-energised, de-stressed, calm and a little bit stronger and stretchier! Come every week or just turn up to the occasional class.

I am well versed in the safety aspects of yoga and can provide modifications or alternatives to poses for anyone with injuries or medical conditions. I have public liability insurance and am a member of the British Wheel of Yoga.

Check out my website for testimonials by local people who come to my classes.   I also teach private sessions in your own home – contact me for more information.

I also run a Tuesday lunchtime drop-in class (1.05 to 1.55pm – £7) at Highgate United Reformed Church, South Grove, London N6 6BJ.  Mats provided, free parking.
